From a sentence to a part in a box
Seven steps, of which exactly one involves a language model. The rest is code with limits in it — because a factory needs a number, not an intention. The column that decides whether something arrives this week or next month is the tooling one.

You describe it
A sentence in plain language. A language model may parse it into slots, but it never decides anything: it proposes an archetype and some numbers, and the engine treats both as a request.

The engine resolves it
Every number is clamped to the range the partner factory has qualified, and every clamp is reported back to you. Anything you did not mention gets a default, labelled as a default. There are no silent decisions.

It checks manufacturability
Wall thickness, draft, rib ratios, tool radii, hole aspect, machine envelope, material-process compatibility, fits and clearances: 16 rules run against the geometry. Each returns a rule id and a limit, so a rejection is explainable rather than an opinion.

It picks a lane
Express or batch. Express means the parts that carry your dimensions are made for your order on a process with no tooling to cut first — printed, nested, sawn — and flown. Batch means a mould, a production run and a ship. The engine works out which lanes exist for your design, and if the fast one does not, it says why instead of quoting a date it cannot hold.

It prices the real thing
Material, machine time, components from a released bill of materials, assembly labour, tooling, scrap, freight and import duty — per part, per lane. Air freight is often a third of what an express part costs, and we show that rather than bury it, because on a heavy part it is the reason to wait for the boat.

The kernel writes the files
The feature tree and the parameter table go to a geometry service running OpenCascade, which emits STEP AP242, STL and a dimensioned drawing with the ISO 286 callouts already on it. The kernel holds no product logic, which is what makes it replaceable.

A factory makes it
The tech pack goes to a certified partner. First article inspection, then a golden sample that becomes the physical reference for every later run. Every part carries a revision hash of its parameters, so a reorder in three years is the same part rather than a similar one.
